Oh happy day! I have finally decided on a bag. Now I just have to WAIT for someone to get one in the dark brown color!

I am a Manhattan girl currently trapped in Oklahoma. It is "T minus about two years" before my reprieve. In the meantime I must vent my frustrations at the lack of Sephora, Tiffany, Brownstones, the subway system, and virtually everything else NYC.

Wait! That cover says WINTER. That means it's SOOO last season! Of course, I've had my handbag for years but that's not the point I'm trying to make here.
Ah, right ye are, but they are making it AGAIN for this fall...and the joy of a classic, really well-made handbag is that you can use it forever (and it just gets softer and better looking with age). I fell in love with this bag (and the red coat, and the boots) as soon as I saw it, but it has taken me until just this week to figure out WHAT it was. I figure it will be a nice alternative to a briefcase for the fall...has a center zip section to keep "purse stuff" in, and two open side pockets for notebook, books, etc. Also a little front pocket for easy access to cell phone (always important). It doesn't say "trendy" the way some of the others have, and I can use it as a carry-on tote/purse for travelling, too. Plus it will go with the red wool/cashmere coat that I bought and my new brown boots (see earlier post) as inspired by this photo. Now if only I was that tall and thin...
