I have been looking for a pair of "ballet flats" for the start of the fall semester, and happened upon these instead. Matiko flats in Jade. I am hoping they will be cute with jeans and the green Hogan Weekend bag. They look quite comfy!

That's the only pair of ballet flats I have liked!
J.Jill has these (by catalog/internet order only) in the jade color, and Zappos.com has them in chili, red, grey, black, and maybe a couple more colors. They are sort of a cross between an "earthy" shoe and a ballet flat...the reviewers said they were really comfortable to wear.
