About Me
- Name: ET
- Location: apparently Owasso, Oklahoma
I am a Manhattan girl currently trapped in Oklahoma. It is "T minus about two years" before my reprieve. In the meantime I must vent my frustrations at the lack of Sephora, Tiffany, Brownstones, the subway system, and virtually everything else NYC.

Okay, now we're talking. I have a feeling that many people will hate this bag, but I adore it. It's very, very busy, and certainly unique. Didn't I read somewhere that these were all custom made? That usually equals big bucks, but if you like a purse to be a showpiece, this is it.
If the price is not outrageous (will you post the quote when you get it?) I'd go for it. If it's in the thousands, I'd save for the Balenciaga bag, definitely.
They are custom made in Europe (Italy?)...or "bespoke" which is a term that I hate for some reason. I assume it will be HUGE bucks, but it is a beautiful bag. And she pulls it off SO WELL! I will post if I find out the cost. And I saw a bag recently that struck me as similar (although possibly affordable), so if I come across that one again, I will post it as well.
P.S. - Check your e-mail...I sent you a photo of another that I just received.
It is rather cool- but how practical is it really? The form looks rigid and damn heavy! Imagine carrying that while riding the subway system in NY and trying to get your metrocard out of it when the train is pulling in... (sorry, the accessibility factor is huge for me when buying a new handbag). My same opinion for the Hermes Kelly bag...not practical and only useful if you are riding in Limos and living the "high life". I tell you, a handbag is a true reflection of the woman who owns it and that bag shouts "Beyonce".
Lucky for me that I don't ever have to worry about subways or metrocards. Just the occasional "I need change" for the endless supply of turnpikes around here (if I forget my Pikepass).
Actually it might not be as lucky as you think. In NY you can WALK to stores and jump onto the subway if you need to go any real distance. Overall, I think this is a much more healthy and efficient way of living. The French may be onto something with their "walking everywhere" and eating whatever they want! And no car payment or car insurance to worry about.
Okay, I have now heard back from Bracher Emden, and the Beyonce bag is $1200 with delivery in ten days, custom made. BUT I also have seen recently (and will have to find it) that another Bracher Emden bag (same style, different color scheme) is available from Henri Bendel for around $865. Not too shabby!
